Although this is a picture from last summer, we have already seen bumble bees flying around in our polytunnels this year!

We often find newts, frogs and toads enjoying the wet, warm atmosphere in our growing areas.

Itís incredible where we find birdís nests on our nursery. These bright yellow beaks belong to a family of Robins that made their home right next to our main shop greenhouse! Handy for popping through the window and grabbing our sunflower seed too!

We often find blackbirds nesting in between the shrubs, or wrens hiding in mossed hanging baskets in the winter. Who knows where weíll find them this year!

Here on the Warwickshire/Worcestershire border weíre luck enough to be surrounded by wonderful countryside & fantastic woodland, making ideal habitats for some of Britainís most endangered butterflies and moths. At Ridgeway Nurseries you can often see Red Admirals, Small Tortoise Shells, Painted Ladies and Peacock butterflies flittering around our huge range of flowering shrubs, and on the odd occasion you may also spot a White Admiral, Silver Washed Fritillary, Humming Bird Moth or even a Magpie Moth as pictured here! Who knows what else will arrive next on our nursery?!
